Dr. Margret C Maimbolwa, RN, RM, MPhil,PhD
POSITION: DIRECTOR / DEAN
Dr Maimbolwa is a nurse by training and has developed from being a registered nurse in 1977 to being a PhD holder in nursing obtained from Karolinska Institute in Sweden in 2004. She is currently lecturing at University of Zambia (UNZA), School of Medicine, Department of Nursing as a senior Lecturer. She is also a midwife by profession. She obtained her Bachelor of science in Nursing from UNZA in 1992, later obtained her Master of Philosophy in International Health research in 2002. At UNZA, she supervises a number of PhD, MSc and undergraduate students in nursing. She coordinates a number of international research grants. She is a visiting Advisory Lecturer of Sogn OgFjordane at the University College, faculty of Health studies, Forde, Norway. She is Co-editor in Chief of the British Journal of Midwifery and Associate Editor of the African Journal of Midwifery and women’s Health.
